"Forethought"
Fog is sifting in the twilight of tomorrow.
Today is in conjunction with yesterday.
An eagle screams as he sees his brother.
In the air, so high, he can see faults
and changes in every way.
For most, today is the morrow.
For most, it is the same.
Though most are uncertain,
In their mind, most think it's a game.
In a game there is a winner.
And also someone has to lose.
Think not your life as a game.
Think of it as a challenge, that way the
outcome is up to you.
From a small stream, unseen by the normal
eye,
Rises a never-ending cloud of blue steam.
The chipmunk and red fox seem to understand,
But the hiking passerby overlooks it with
his unidirectional gleam.
The important things are often overlooked
When we are aiming for a goal.
We shouldn't move so fast, for either we
notice now
Or we later pay the tolls.
Wild honeysuckle doesn't catch your nose
for no reason.
Nor do the seldom seen creatures bless
your eyes.
Remember what life is all about.
Why are we confined to the ground, while
birds soar the skies?
Everyone would like to be somewhere else.
The grass is always greener on the other
side.
Once you've had a taste of the new things,
You crave the old and the new begins to
grow useless and slide.
So, be satisfied with who and where you are.
For that is the only truth.
Trust me when I say
"The older you grow, the more you think
of your origin and youth."
