C. S. Lewis
A brilliant author who has written some terrific Christian and Fantasy stories and books. He is Mr. Sergent's personal favorite author. Lewis's "Chronicles of Narnia" series of seven books is a great way to introduce any child to Christ. This series is set in a fantasy world setting, not unlike the popular Harry Potter series, but has great Christian overtones.  Mr. Sergent is currently working on a series of books for young readers in the same vein as this.

J. R. R. Tolkien
Renowned author of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" series of Fantasy books. Tolkien paints a beautiful picture in which you live while reading his epic plots. This author is another favorite of Mr. Sergent's for the simple fact that he likes to read (and write) in a world setting that's fantastical, yet believable. Tolkien's works definitely have both.

Terry Goodkind
A terrific author who wrote Mr. Sergent's favorite book, "Wizard's First Rule". This is the first of several books in the "Sword of Truth" series. Included later in the series is some unneeded graphic sexual scenes. Mr. Sergent was willing to overlook certain things in his journey through a book in light of reality, but, sadly, the book is not for sensitive or young readers. Do NOT let your young child read this author's books for this reason.
